Theory of the Senses, competitive strategies, business pathologyResumo
In order to understand the competitive behavior of companies is presented in this paper an approach to what is called "Theory of the Senses" based on the metaphor of seeing business as an open system, in other words, as a living system. It begins from the general theory of systems and thus is compared to companies with a system that born, grow, feel, think and eventually reproduces and dies. Every company lives just with help of his senses. It is characterized each of them, including a sixth sense. An analogy with the SWOT analysis is done to achieve strategic objectives. Businesses consequences are compared with human pathologies for the disuse of any sense and this approach concluded.
