Resumo

This article deals with the application of the Max Corden model to the analysis of the Dutch disease phenomenon on the Algerian economy, where it  reviews the concept of the Dutch disease and its indicators and its impact on economies oriented towards the export of natural resources. By examining developments in Algeria's economic sectors and its overreliance on oil and gas as the main source of national income, the article aims to verify whether the Algerian economy is suffering from the effects of the Dutch ills, while making recommendations to overcome the challenges associated with this economic model.
