Management model with systemic approach: definitions, principles and elements

The management model in an organization is of vital importance due to its implications in its operation, decision making, use of resources, capacity to adapt to change, generator of organizational culture, behavior in the face of environmental conditions, among other aspects; however, it is a complex task that requires an adequate approach; for this, it is necessary to have a methodology that guides the process, establishes its elements and guarantees its success. The objective of this work was to propose a methodology that, applying a systemic approach supported by systems theory, allows the organization to build its management model. In order to support this proposal, an exhaustive bibliographic review of theories, concepts and related principles was carried out, in addition to applying previous experiences developed in a research center. As a result, the necessary elements that make up a management model were obtained from the definition of its administrative mode; identification of its internal management systems, articulation of the strategic direction and the necessary documentary structure to support the model in its implementation phase. The work developed allows us to conclude that the design and construction of a management model applying a systemic approach can help a company to operate efficiently in a highly complex environment, and that the proposed methodology can be a support in this objective.
