Elaboração do protocolo nutricional para pacientes submetidos ao Transplante de Células Tronco Hematopoiéticas (TCTH) autólogo

Introdução: o transplante de células tronco hematopoiéticas consiste em uma modalidade terapêutica amplamente utilizada no tratamento de diversas doenças hematológicas. Esse tratamento impacta o estado nutricional e pode interferir na toxicidade do condicionamento realizado, como náuseas, vômitos, diarreia, alteração do paladar e mucosite. Assim, protocolos eficientes de assistência nutricional podem contribuir com maior sucesso do tratamento e diminuição de desfechos clínicos desfavoráveis. Objetivo: desenvolver um protocolo de assistência nutricional para pacientes submetidos ao transplante de células tronco hematopoiéticas autólogo. Método: foi desenvolvido estudo de base documental inicialmente por meio de extensa revisão de artigos, discussão com a equipe multiprofissional e posteriormente elaboração de protocolo para assistência nutricional em hospital de nível terciário. Resultados: foi elaborado o protocolo nutricional baseado em evidências para pacientes submetidos ao TCTH autólogo, dividido em dez principais capítulos/etapas da assistência nutricional, abordando todos os processos a serem realizados desde a admissão até a alta hospitalar, sendo eles, triagem e avaliação nutricional, antropometria, exame físico, avaliação dos exames bioquímicos, ingestão alimentar, seguido da determinação do diagnóstico nutricional, determinação e programação das necessidades nutricionais, escolha da terapia nutricional a ser adotada e por fim as orientações nutricionais. Conclusão: foi finalizada a elaboração do protocolo nutricional para pacientes submetidos ao TCTH, que poderá ser útil para os serviços de saúde que contam com essa modalidade de tratamento.
