A fibrilação atrial (FA) é a arritmia supraventricular mais frequente, intimamente relacionada a eventos tromboembólicos, entre eles o infarto agudo do miocárdio (IAM). A associação entre a FA e o IAM, estão relacionadas à piores prognósticos e mortalidade. O manejo é complicado, uma vez que a tripla terapia antitrombótica está associada a maiores riscos de sangramento comparado a dupla terapia antitrombótica.
