Resumo

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in veterinary radiology prompts a profound reflection on techno diversity. This concept highlights the plurality of technologies and their inherent interactions with professional practice, demonstrating how the introduction of these tools changes the operational workflow. This paper aims to provide a reflection that allows the reader to consider the potential impacts of introducing this technology on Brazilian radiologists. The authors use Yuk Hui’s concept of technodiversity as a reference framework for this analysis, as the implementation of AI must account for the sociopolitical, cultural, and economic particularities of each country, adapting to the professional realities of each region. Thus, this article adopts an interdisciplinary approach, combining machine learning concepts with philosophical theories of technology, while emphasizing the potential impacts and ethical implications arising from the introduction of AI in veterinary radiology
