Resumo

Canine entropion is a frequently diagnosed eyelid disorder characterized by inward rotation of the eyelid margin, resulting in continuous mechanical irritation of the ocular surface and potential development of corneal lesions. This report describes the surgical management of bilateral entropion associated with secondary corneal ulceration in a canine patient. A Chow Chow dog was presented with blepharospasm, epiphora, mucopurulent discharge, and corneal opacity. Ophthalmic examination confirmed bilateral entropion with concurrent ulcerative keratitis. Surgical correction was performed using the Hotz-Celsus technique, combined with supportive therapy. Postoperative evolution demonstrated progressive clinical improvement, with resolution of ocular discomfort and restoration of corneal integrity. These findings highlight the importance of early surgical intervention to prevent chronic ocular damage and preserve visual function.
