Solanum paniculatum is a medicinal plant native to the North and Northeast regions of Brazil, with multiple medicinal and culinary uses. The objective of this experiment was to identify the floral visitors of S. paniculatum, the type of collection (pollen and/or nectar), and the frequency of these visits in an urban area of Northeast Brazil. Observations were carried out in the first 10 minutes of each hour, between 6 am and 4 pm, with three repetitions on different days in January 2023, at the Meliponiculture Sector of the Department of Animal Science at UFRPE, in an urban area of Recife, PE, Brazil. Fifty-four visitors from four groups were recorded: Augochloropsis sp. bees (Halictidae; 53.7%), Epicharis sp (31.5%), diptera (11.1%), and stingless bees Melipona scutellaris (3.7%). All bees collected only pollen and performed vibratile pollination. There was moderate diversity with dominance of a few species, and a significant effect of time on the frequency of visits. S. paniculatum provides essential pollen for urban pollinators, making its presence in meliponaries ecologically relevant.
