The implementation of sensory and organic gardens at ECIT Riachão do Poço promoted an integration between sustainable agricultural practices and the socio-emotional development of students. The project involved agroecological techniques such as organic fertilization and irrigation systems using recyclable materials, highlighting the importance of environmental education in the rural context. Through theoretical classes, workshops, and collective practical activities, students acquired technical knowledge in sustainable agriculture and improved their emotional and social well-being, with positive impacts for the school and local community. The project also directly addressed several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as promoting quality education, environmental awareness, and empowering students as agents of social transformation through innovative active methodologies. This article discusses the results achieved, the culminating activities such as the workshop and the dissemination of the project on social media, as well as the published articles, which broadened the visibility of the Riachão do Poço Agricultural School nationally and internationally.
