Manejo anestésico de Ferret (Mustela putorius furo) submetido a excisão de um mastocitoma – relato de caso

A anestesia em ferrets é um tema de grande importância na medicina de animais exóticos decorrente de suas particularidades comportamentais, anatômicas e genéticas, e a necessidade frequente de submetê-los a procedimentos cirúrgicos. Este relato de caso discorre sobre o protocolo anestésico instituído para a excisão de um mastocitoma de um ferret (Mustela putorius furo), além da avaliação de exames pré-operatórios. O protocolo anestésico escolhido e a monitoração proporcionam um trans-operatório seguro, porém há grande importância na monitorização pós-operatória, nesse caso foi indispensável para identificação da reação inflamatória, a liberação de histamina causada pela degranulação de mastócitos.
