The aim of our study was to examine the impact of Bisphenol A (BPA) exposure on the liver of young Wistar rats and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments using essential oils from Cinnamomum cassia (CEO) and Thymus ciliatus (TEO) in mitigating the damage caused by this chemical toxin. The essential oils were extracted via hydrodistillation, resulting in yields of 2.3% for CEO and 2.26% for TEO. Acute toxicity from BPA was induced by administering an oral dose of 50 mg/kg over 60 days. In rats exposed to BPA, there were significant increases in hepatic markers such as AST and ALT and ALP in the blood, alongside a decrease in albumin levels. Additionally, the liver showed signs of tissue damage. Treatment with CEO and TEO significantly alleviated the biochemical alterations, as well as the histological and cellular damage observed in the liver tissue.
