Resumo

Picobirnavirus (PBV) has been detected in humans and several animals worldwide, such as: cattle, dogs, primates, opossums, swine, rodents and chickens, with or without diarrhea. The objective of this study was detect PBV2, in Gallus cut chickensfeces, from 37 farms in the Belém / Pa, using RT-PCR techniques (targeting the RdRp gene) and sequencing, to PAGE. A total of 85 samples were analyzed and PBV2 was detected in 10 samples (11.76%). Of these, seven were sequenced and analyzed phylogenetically. The electrophoretic profile of PBV found in three positive samples by PAGE long them. In the phylogenetic analysis a high similarity of the samples showing was verified, with a sample obtained in birds of Korea, besides high diversity with other species of animals (swine, humans, cattle and nonhuman primates). There are no study with detection of PBV2 in birds, therefore, this research will serve as a parameter of positivity in this species, contributing with molecular and epidemiological information that may help in better understanding the pathophysiology of these agents.
