Abstract

Any hydrological study is based on the exploitation of series of data collected during more or less long continuous or discontinuous periods. The statistical methods of analysis of these series require them to have homogeneity of their components. The different methods and tools for measuring precipitation are numerous and allow ensuring a correct and continuous measurement of the fall throughout the annual cycle. However, it can happen to find gaps in the data and for several reasons, including accidental and random errors and systematic errors. Predicting missing evidence in readings from precipitation monitoring stations is very important. It is therefore important to know some ways to facilitate the statistical process. In our work consists in making the study of rainfall of the coastal region of central Algeria in the period (2000-2018). To attempt to elucidate this problem, it is essential to first analyze the term precipitation. We will try to answer some worrying and fundamental questions, among others: How does the rainfall in our region assess in space? Has there been a decrease in rainfall over the past decade? In this perspective, we contribute to studying rainfall using statistical processing.
