Abstract

This work describes the practical realization of a five-level inverter. This prototype of a diode-clamped multilevel inverter is made using MOSFETs. A control strategy could thus be tested and evaluated. Practical tests are carried out and then compared to the simulation results. This present work describes the realization of a five-level inverter, its construction, the circuits necessary for its operation as well as the choice of components used for its realization. The prototype produced will be used as a support to test different control techniques. A control strategy is chosen for the control of the inverter intended to power an induction machine. Its power supply comes from the buck-boost choppers produced for the tracking of the maximum power point of a photovoltaic generator.
