Lurasidona como estratégia terapêutica na depressão do transtorno bipolar: evidências clínicas e farmacológicas

A depressão bipolar representa um desafio clínico importante devido à sua alta prevalência, impacto funcional significativo e resposta limitada a tratamentos convencionais. Este estudo de revisão integrativa teve como objetivo analisar a eficácia e segurança da lurasidona no tratamento da fase depressiva do transtorno bipolar, com base em evidências clínicas e farmacológicas. Foram selecionados 23 artigos científicos, publicados entre 2012 e 2025, a partir de bases como PubMed, Scopus e Web of Science. A lurasidona demonstrou eficácia superior ao placebo e comparável a outros antipsicóticos atípicos, tanto em monoterapia quanto em associação com estabilizadores do humor, com benefícios significativos sobre os sintomas depressivos, funcionalidade e qualidade de vida. Além disso, apresenta perfil metabólico favorável, com baixo risco de ganho de peso e disfunções cardiometabólicas. Conclui-se que a lurasidona é uma alternativa terapêutica eficaz e bem tolerada para a depressão bipolar, especialmente em pacientes com risco metabólico aumentado.
