Uso da tirzepatida na perda de peso: evidências atuais e avanços no tratamento da obesidade

A obesidade é uma condição crônica de alta prevalência mundial, associada a diversas comorbidades e desafios terapêuticos. A tirzepatida, um agonista dual dos receptores GIP e GLP-1, tem se destacado como opção farmacológica inovadora, promovendo significativa perda de peso e benefícios metabólicos adicionais. Este artigo realizou uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com base em 16 estudos publicados entre 2022 e 2025. As evidências analisadas demonstram que a tirzepatida proporciona reduções ponderais superiores a 20% em alguns ensaios clínicos, com efeitos favoráveis sobre glicemia, perfil lipídico, inflamação e pressão arterial. Estudos comparativos revelam sua superioridade em relação à semaglutida. A perda de massa magra, embora presente, é proporcionalmente menor. O perfil de segurança é satisfatório, com efeitos adversos leves e autolimitados. Conclui-se que a tirzepatida representa um avanço relevante no manejo da obesidade, combinando alta eficácia, impacto metabólico positivo e potencial de aplicação ampla na prática clínica.
