Facial fractures are traumatic pathologies that occur in the facial skeleton, and the approach and treatment vary according to several factors, such as, affected area, extension of the fracture line. The recommended methods for diagnosing facial fractures consider the clinical and imaging aspects, whether radiographic or tomographic, to then outline the best treatment plan and prognosis. The study sought to simulate the various possible facial fractures from the making of 3DFF models and their respective anteroposterior and lateral radiographs. Initially, a natural skull from the Human Anatomy laboratory was selected, which was scanned and generated a digital file. Subsequently, the digital file and its 3D printing were manipulated. 3D models were created simulating facial fractures classified according to the facial skeleton disjunction pattern in Le Fort I, II and III. From the making of 3D models of facial fractures (3DFF), radiographic shots were taken to detect and analyze the orientation and extension of the fracture lines. The 3DFF models showed similarity to bone in natura with respect to the representativeness of the main facial anatomical structures. The representations of facial fractures in the 3DFF were presented as follows: Le Fort I, II and III. The fracture lines were joined using neodymium magnets to join the parts in juxtaposition. The 3DFF and their respective radiographs represented the main anatomical structures and fracture lines seen on the human face at low cost, which can serve as a tool for using fracture teaching in the Dentistry course.
