This cross-sectional study analyzed the sociodemographic, clinical, and laboratory profiles of trans women and travestis assisted by a public health service in Salvador, Bahia. The sample included 81 participants aged 18 or older who underwent laboratory testing and answered a structured questionnaire. Participants were divided into three groups: current hormone therapy use, previous use, and never used. The average age was 27.8 years, with a predominance of Black, single individuals with low income and education. The most used hormones were Perlutan and combinations of injectable and oral estrogens. The current hormone therapy group had lower body mass index, abdominal circumference, and fasting glucose levels. The group with prior use had higher systolic blood pressure and uric acid levels. No significant differences were observed in hepatic markers or lipid profile. Findings suggest that, among young and healthy populations, hormone therapy is not associated with clinically significant laboratory alterations. Nonetheless, professional follow-up and longitudinal studies are necessary to evaluate long-term metabolic, hepatic, cardiovascular, and renal effects.
