Leiomiosarcoma de extremidad: a propósito de un caso

El leiomiosarcoma de tejidos blandos es una entidad rara con una incidencia estimada del 0.04%; las manifestaciones dependen del tamaño, localización y estructuras comprometidas, se han estudiado múltiples factores de mal pronóstico entre los cuales pse sugieren que el tamaño >5cm y el margen de resección positivo parecen estar associados a un peor desenlace, en tanto que la RT adyuvante se associa a um período libre de recurrencia mayor. El pilar del tratamento actual es la resección con márgenes negativos. En el presenta caso se evidencia un manejo quirúrgico de um Lms de la cintura escapular que requirió cirugía de Tikhoff-Linberg con cobertura del defecto con colgajo de dorsal ancho preservando la función vasculo-nerviosa.
