Abordagem submentoniana para intubação de paciente com politrauma facial: relato de caso apoiado em revisão bibliográfica

A intubação submentoniana é um método seguro e eficaz para o manejo das vias aéreas em pacientes com fraturas no complexo crânio-maxilo-facial. Esta técnica se apresenta como uma alternativa à traqueostomia, evitando as complicações associadas a este último, especialmente em situações onde a intubação nasotraqueal ou orotraqueal é contraindicada. A indicação clássica para a intubação submentoniana ocorre quando é necessário realizar um bloqueio maxilomandibular durante o procedimento cirúrgico, e a traqueostomia não é recomendada por outros motivos. O objetivo deste trabalho é revisar a literatura e apresentar um caso clínico em que a via submentoniana foi utilizada para garantir a segurança das vias aéreas.
