Ectopia testicular transversa: revisão da literatura

O objetivo deste estudo é realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura para compreender os achados de imagem nos diferentes métodos de diagnóstico utilizados na ectopia testicular transversa. A metodologia se caracteriza como uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Foram selecionados artigos na base de dados PubMed/MedLine e Scopus, com critérios específicos de inclusão e exclusão, abrangendo o período até 2023 e utilizando descritores: "Transverse Testicular Ectopia" ; "Crossed Testicular Ectopia" e "Diagnosis" ou "Imaging Exams". Como resultados foram encontrados 220 artigos na pesquisa ampla, destes, 25 tinham relação direta com o tema desta revisão, atenderam aos critérios de seleção deste estudo e compuseram a revisão. A revisão abordou métodos de imagem na ectopia testicular transversa, destacando ultrassonografia, tomografia e ressonância magnética. Achados incluem testículos ectópicos em locais anômalos e complicações associadas.Conclui- se que a ectopia testicular transversa, embora rara, é clinicamente relevante, apresentando desafios diagnósticos e terapêuticos. Destaca-se o papel crucial da ultrassonografia, tomografia e ressonância magnética na identificação e caracterização dos testículos ectópicos. Há limitações na disponibilidade de estudos específicos, destacando a necessidade contínua de pesquisa na área.
