Considering that Bell's palsy in pregnant women can present with increased severity and incomplete recovery rates, this work aims to discuss the complexity of managing this condition during pregnancy, especially when associated with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. To this end, we analyze a clinical case of a 30-year-old Brazilian woman, 33 weeks pregnant, who developed unilateral facial paralysis and complications such as cholestasis and chorangioma, leading to an emergency cesarean section. It is observed that, despite treatment with acyclovir and prednisone, the patient experienced persistent symptoms, including facial weakness and hearing loss. These results emphasize the need for a multidisciplinary approach in managing Bell's palsy in pregnant women, highlighting the importance of integrated care for maternal and fetal health. It is concluded that effective treatment requires careful consideration of the risks and benefits of medications, as well as ongoing follow-up to optimize outcomes and the patient's recovery (Guimarães, 2005).
