Pneumotoráx hipertensivo: da fisiopatologia à intervenção

O pneumotórax hipertensivo é uma emergência médica caracterizada pela presença de ar no espaço pleural, com aumento da pressão torácica, podendo comprometer os sistemas cardiovascular e respiratório, causando sequelas graves e até mesmo óbito. O diagnóstico é baseado em achados clínicos e confirmado por meio de exames de imagem, que orientam o tratamento para alívio da pressão intratorácica e reestabelecimento da hemodinâmica. Apesar dos avanços no diagnóstico e tratamento, o conhecimento da fisiopatologia é fundamental na busca por estratégias que melhorem o manejo clínico, reduzindo as taxas de morbidade e mortalidade. Este trabalho propõe uma revisão crítica da literatura existente sobre o pneumotórax hipertensivo, destacando avanços no manejo e principais métodos de abordagem e diagnóstico, com estudos acerca do quadro clínico, etiologia e alternativas terapêuticas. Conclui-se ser essencial o conhecimento técnico e clínico sobre a fisiopatologia e alternativas de intervenção para o cuidado imediato e integral dos pacientes com pneumotórax hipertensivo.
