Tempo de espera: narrativas de idosos com fratura de fêmur

É necessário estudar as fraturas de quadril em idosos, destacando a relevância desse problema de saúde e os impactos físicos, emocionais e psicológicos que os pacientes enfrentam durante a internação. Busca-se compreender a perspectiva dos pacientes idosos sobre sua internação, tratamento, morbidade e mortalidade. Metodologia: entrevistas semi-estruturadas com idosos que aguardavam cirurgia de fratura de fêmur por mais de 15 dias. Resultados: destaque para temas como a expectativa pela cirurgia, o sofrimento físico e emocional durante a internação e os raros momentos de alívio.
