Uma grande variedade de anormalidades congênitas pode atingir qualquer porção do trato gastrointestinal, desde o esôfago ao anus. A atresia é a mais comum causa de obstrução intestinal congênita, com uma elevada taxa de morbidade em recém-nascidos. A suspeição diagnóstica, ainda no período fetal, é de grande valia para a realização da abordagem cirúrgica precoce e consequentemente de um bom prognóstico. Este artigo tem como intuito relatar e discutir o caso de um paciente com Atresia Jejunoileal grau IV nascido e acompanhado em um hospital da rede pública do Distrito Federal.
