Clareamento: diferença entre o clareamento de consultório e clareamento caseiro

Objetivo: revisar a literatura no que diz respeito ao procedimento de clareamento dentário e realizar uma comparação das técnicas de consultório e caseira. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa de literatura realizada nas bases de dados internacionais do Pubmed Medline, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde BVS e Google Acadêmico entre os meses de janeiro de 2018 a junho de 2023. Introdução: o clareamento dentário é uma técnica minimamente invasiva que visa, além de tornar os dentes mais claros, aumentar a autoestima individual e qualidade de vida dos pacientes. Atualmente existe três técnicas principais de clareamento dentário; o clareamento de consultório, o caseiro e a associação de ambas as técnicas. A indicação de cada uma vai depender da disponibilidade do paciente, grau de desgaste dentário e comprometimento estético de escurecimento dental extrínseco que o paciente venha a possuir. Conclusão: Tanto o clareamento caseiro como o de consultório apresentam resultados satisfatórios e a combinação das técnicas é uma alternativa segura, eficiente para eventuais correções de tonalidades que não foram alcançadas com o clareamento de consultório e fizeram com alterações de colorações entre si.
