Compostos bioativos e propriedades funcionais de espécies frutíferas cultivadas no Brasil

Abstract

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo reunir, sistematizar e discutir os mais recentes estudos que abordam sobre os compostos bioativos e/ou as propriedades funcionais biológicas de espécies vegetais cultivadas no Brasil. A maioria dos estudos envolveram as famílias Anacardiaceae, Arecaceae, Annonaceae, Apocynaceae, Caryocaraceae, Clusiaceae, Fabaceae, Malpighiaceae, Myrtaceae Rubiaceae, Oxalidaceae, Olacaceae, Passifloraceae e Solanaceae. Dentre as propriedades funcionais observadas nos estudos, verificou-se a descrição das atividades antienvelhecimento, antiproliferativa, imunomoduladora, antimicrobiana, antiobesidade e, principalmente, antioxidante, comuns em grande parte das espécies, indicando o seu potencial para desenvolvimento de produtos voltados à promoção da saúde.
