Introduction: Sarcopenia, which is defined by loss of both muscular mass and strength associated with aging, has been of great interest in the last decades, but has no approved pharmacological treatment yet. The target of the present research is to review and systematize the data that supports non-pharmacological treatment of the pathology. Methodology: Randomized Clinical Trials (RCT) of Sarcopenic patients was searched in MEDLINE, EMBASE and LILACS databases using pre-defined terms. Results and Conclusion: 17 RCT were included in the present research covering nutritional therapy, physical training, electrostimulation and combined therapies. The present data suggests that all therapies (i. e. nutrition therapy, physical training and electrostimulation) have positive impact in the treatment of the pathology, and the combined therapies seem to increase even further the benefits in comparison to isolated approaches.
